Last week, biology students received a shipment of tiny Rainbow Trout eggs from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife This week, tiny baby trout can be spotted nestled into the gravel at the bottom of the classroom aquarium.
Besant Hill School seniors are enjoying an early and high college acceptance rate with 80% of seniors being accepted to at least one college of their choice before mid-December.

As part of a new plan to increase the intentional aspect of our work in the community, students are traveling across Ventura County and beyond to experience what it truly means to “give back.”
For the last 15 or so years, Besant Hill School has attended the Bioneers Conference in Marin, CA. In the early years, students from Besant Hill School were among only a handful of student conference attendees.
On Thursday, November 9, a special screening of the documentary film Maineland was followed by a question and answers from director Miao Wang.
On Friday, November 3, 35 students and four teachers traveled 90 minutes south to The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles where we stood face-to-face with master works and toured current exhibits.
15 students and two faculty members worked with biologists from CIES to plant 1,100 native plants on one of the island’s more sensitive slopes and seabird habitats.
It was such a pleasure to have families, friends, and alumni join us here on campus for this year’s Family Weekend and 60th-ish Alumni Reunion celebrations last weekend!
