CrossFit is a program in which functional movements are constantly varied and performed at high intensity. Core strength, conditioning, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, and balance are all areas we work on in the program.

At Besant Hill School, we incorporate this program into our daily weight training class, scaling everything to the individual student. Each workout includes:

  • 15 minute warm-up
  • 5 minutes of stretching
  • 30 minutes of strength training and conditioning
  • 10 minute cool down

Techniques, skills, and safety are taught for every move and we spend time reflecting on not only the workouts, but what areas of our bodies they are strengthening.
