Here at Besant Hill School, we believe in a lifelong pursuit of healthy living.
With that in mind, we offer a wide range of physical activities on a trimester schedule. We ask that all of our students be involved in the Athletics/Fitness program five days per week. Our fitness classes will be taken on a rotational basis during each trimester. They will enjoy the classes of Weight Training, Yoga, Dance, Cross-Fit, Tennis and Aquatics. Each class, with highly skilled instructors, is designed to give the students adequate aerobic and anaerobic training while being introduced to a variety of programs throughout the trimester. Three other fitness classes will be on a non-rotational basis; Surfing during the first trimester and Outdoor Education and Spring Musical during the third trimester. The Surfing and Outdoor Educations classes are capped at a predetermined number of students to be determined by the class instructors and the Director of Athletics/Fitness. The Spring Musical is open to all not playing on a team sport during the Spring Trimester. All of our classes are designed to develop a lifelong pursuit of healthy living by making physical activity part of our daily lives.
