Spring Arts Celebration & Family Weekend

The weekend includes an art gallery exhibition and reception, campus tours, a spring concert, two performances of our spring musical, and a special tribute and celebration dinner. Besant Hill School students will be working through the exciting challenges of curating a large show in a small space. The show will include work from each student currently enrolled in a visual arts class and the student body at large. The gallery will be open to visitors through the weekend.

Beato Atelier

Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and beverages while visiting with families, alumni, and faculty. Those joining us for the weekend will pick up their name badges.  This is an adults-only event.

Produced by special arrangement with Rodgers and Hammerstein Theatricals, Once Upon a Mattress is a comic/slapstick re-telling of the classic Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale The Princess and the Pea. Once Upon a Mattress opened on Broadway in 1959 and starred Carol Burnett in the leading lady role of Princess Winnifred, AKA, Fred. The book was written by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller and Marshall Barer (who also wrote the lyrics) with music by Mary Rodgers, daughter of Richard Rodgers.

Choral singing, advanced band class, guitar ensemble, and more will be highlighted during our music department’s Annual Spring Concert. Come hear what we’ve been learning and playing together!

Alumni, friends, family join our entire school community for a special tribute starting in the Zalk Theater followed by dinner on the Commons Lawn.
