Summer Institute

Nestled in the beautiful resort town of Ojai located in Southern California, Besant Hill School offers a dynamic five weeks of programming in which students interact with peers from all around the world while mastering study skills, life lessons and gain a better appreciation of  California.

We offer a variety of courses in English as a Second Language, SAT Prep and a hands-on STEM Program. The day is structured for academic courses in the morning, afternoon art classes and multiple off-campus excursions.

SAT Prep & College Application Essay Writing

July 9 – August 5

This three-week course, taught by Besant Hill faculty trained in the A-List method, provides an in-depth overview of all three sections of the SAT test, including discussions about format, content, and overall strategies.

Stem Program

July 9 – August 5

As a College Preparatory High School, Besant Hill School believes in preparing and supporting high school student to pursue undergraduate career in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Young Innovators Program

Session One: July 9-15
Session Two: July 16-22

The FDS Young Innovators Program empowers kids to create, innovate and develop their entrepreneurial skills. We help kids uncover their passion, build prototypes and pitch solutions that bring meaningful change to the world. Students learn design methods and get hands-on experience building new business offerings.

English Language & American Culture

July 2 – August 5

Students will embark on an immersion journey in speaking English, getting to know the BHS campus, and exploring Ojai and California.
