Besant Hill School Is...

...Like No Other School

What kind of high school experience are you looking for? What kind of school balances the importance of living in the moment and getting ready for the next step? Besant Hill is different from every other school. We offer experiential education and arts programs that go well beyond the traditional college prep curriculum and challenge your intellect, your creativity, and your empathy.

...A Place You Are Known

Our small size is intentional, and we plan to stay that way. With 50 boys and 50 girls, everyone knows your name. And you will know the names of everyone you pass on the way to class, to the dining commons, and to the dorm. That is why you can be yourself. You can take risks. You can develop that resilience that comes from knowing who you are and what you want.

...Surrounded by Beauty

It is a life-changing experience to live in an environment of boundless beauty, and Ojai, California is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Home to artists, musicians, and creative thinkers, it is a great place to live, learn and play. The California ethos of discovery and diversity will add to your experience and be something you take with you.

Living at Besant Hill School has helped me to broaden my perspective and respect the land and the people living there. Besant Hill School is more than just a school, it is a caring community where I learned how to be both actively helpful to my peers and a responsible individual on my own.”Isabelle Weber, Class of 2014, Brooklyn, NY
