Terra was born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California, and moved to Ojai at age 13, where she attended Nordhoff High School. After attending San Diego State University for 2 years, she decided to travel around the country with a group of friends. After traveling, Terra settled in Eugene, Oregon, to attend the Waldorf Teacher Training Institute, where she earned her early childhood teaching certificate in 1999 and taught for 2 years at the Eugene Waldorf School.

In 2001 Terra decided to move back to Ojai with her 2 children, Skyler and Ella, to be closer to family. She began working at Besant Hill School in 2002, and her son Skyler currently attends BHS. Ella is in the 6th grade and cannot wait to be a BHS Coyote! Terra loves that BHS is open to such a wide range of students and that everyone has a special place in the community.

In her free time, Terra enjoys hiking with her dog Roxy, playing soccer, cooking, spending time at the beach and with family. She also loves to play scrabble, dominoes and cards.
