Year Appointed: 2011

Riverside Community College
Allied Business School

A true native of Southern California, Sunny has lived in Ventura County since 1988. She has come to love this very beautiful and diverse area in which she lives that has so much to offer from beautiful beaches to the scenic mountains, all within 15 minutes of one another. Being able to raise her daughter here locally has given her a tremendous future.

“Being the eldest of 7 siblings has allowed me to enjoy being a part of a large and very diverse family, which is very much like being a part of a family and community within a school like Besant Hill. It allows tremendous exposure to individuals with very diverse backgrounds and cultures and how we can learn and grow from sharing with one another.”

Having been in the real estate industry since 2002, Sunny worked with both residential and commercial real estate. She also had the pleasure of assisting investors, through educational seminars about the changes within the real estate market, what to expect and how to properly prepare for it.

Prior to almost 12 years in real estate, she periodically resided in the urban environments of Manhattan and Los Angeles and traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean on business, spending 8 years in the international investment banking industry as an International Sales and Marketing Adviser and an Executive Administrative Assistant.

“It's really wonderful to be a part of the Besant Hill School Family and Community in beautiful Ojai as I wanted a position that would allow me to stay within our tranquil valley here in Ojai, while having the opportunity to be able to give back, in some sort of way; there is no better way to do this, than to work with children as they're learning and growing.”
