Shannon has been teaching ESL since 2004. She enjoys working with English language learners who come to Ojai from all over the world to pursue their education. Besant Hill School has long attracted pensive, creative faculty and a passionate student body, and Shannon enthusiastically joined its team in 2010. She continues to be inspired by the school’s philosophy creating a safe, non-competitive and inclusive community. Besant Hill’s commitment to sustainability and green initiatives are close to Shannon’s heart, and she enjoys working with her cohorts and students on those efforts.

In her spare time, Shannon enjoys trail running, gardening, knitting, and leisure time with her son, Marlow and daughter, Clementine.
