BFA The University of Delaware - Graphic Design / Visual Communications

John grew up in Ramsey, NJ, where he attended Ramsey High School and later went on to attend the University of Delaware, where he studied graphic design.

From 2007 to 2010, John worked as art director of TMD Worldwide, LLC, a marketing group based in Villanova, Pennsylvania. There, John handled various client accounts creating web, print, advertising, and viral marketing campaigns for businesses throughout the U.S.

John also maintains a position as a design consultant for the New Jersey-based outfitter, Jetty, a lifestyle brand focused on the surf/skate culture, where he continues to offer creative direction and design for seasonal clothing lines.

This will be John's first year as digital arts instructor at BHS. John moved to Ojai in 2009 with his fiancée, Alexis Spina (the physics/math instructor). After spending a year getting to know the staff and students, John was offered the amazing opportunity to share his passion for design and photography.

In his free time, John enjoys surfing, snowboarding, golf, and spending time with his great friends and wonderful fiancée, Alexis!
