Dane is responsible for the care and maintenance of the fleet of vehicles at BHS. He maintains records for the bus and the school's drivers. He is also a member of the residential team and a habitat crew leader. His past roles here at BHS have included weekend activities coordinator and advisor. He has also taught a skateboarding class. Dane started working at BHS when his wife worked here, before their oldest child was born. He was really intrigued by the philosophy of the founders of the school and was lucky enough to be able to fill in when some help was needed. When his predecessor left, he was able to take over driving the bus and the role as Weekend Activities Coordinator.

In Dane's own words, "I most enjoy watching the talented students we have here at BHS. The variety shows, winter and spring concerts, drama productions, and just seeing student art around the campus always inspire me. I also like working in a small, tight-knit community where understanding, support, and acceptance are valued. My goals as a member of this community are to be as present and helpful as I possibly can be."

Dane is passionate about skateboarding, reading, playing music, cooking, and spending time with his wife and daughter and their new baby, Henry. They live on the BHS campus and "love every moment of it."
