"Every year that I am able to work with and speak to the talented young actors at this festival I am rejuvenated and inspired by their talent, their courage and their humor. It's an honor to help play a small part in what I know will be a bright future for all of these gifted, vibrant kids."

Why The Actors Festival?
The Actors Festival provides participating students access to representatives from colleges, universities, professional theaters, and industry professionals, where they can gain knowledge in determining their next step in education and professional training. The Festival also gives students professional feedback on audition and interviewing skills, much needed for advancement in higher education and professional work. Finally, the festival encourages all participants to work together in developing social and educational ties that will strengthen their relationships within their community and beyond.
What happens at The Actors Festival?
Students are able to perform in as many categories as they choose in front of professional judges who will provide written comment on their performance and auditioning skills. Participants will receive their 'Share Sheets' at the end of the day along with recognition for the Best Performances in their category. In addition to being able to perform pieces, participants will also have the opportunity to talk to selected representatives from several colleges and performing arts schools. These representatives will be available the entire to provide information regarding their programs. After the end of the performance part of the day, each school or group registered will present their own chosen best performances in our 'Best of Fest' Show. The day ends with a symposium comprised of professionals in the fields of theatre and film who will discuss a topic suggested by the festival’s participants, along with answering questions from the audience.
