For this edition, we are thrilled to have an alumni illustrated cover! Thanks to Chi Birmingham '01 for taking time to help create a very special edition. See the Alumni Message Board for more updates on Chi. We thank our alumni for their contributions, our dedicated staff for the amazing work they do and our students for the great spirit they fill the campus with, each and every day.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day inspired an uplifting school assembly during Monday's private school Open House. Along with the assembly, visiting families were able to experience a day in the life of a Besant Hill School student, attending classes, an informative panel discussion, campus tours, and a delicious lunch.
Admissions Open House is almost here! Join us Monday, January 19 (9am to noon), for a day in the life of a Besant Hill student. Meet our faculty, chat with students, visit our classrooms, and experience an all school assembly
Are you interested in applying to BHS? If so, it is probably one of the most important decisions you will make in your life. The application to Besant Hill School contains the general application, parent and student questionnaires, transcript request, student essay and three teacher recommendations. Your application will be read by each member of the Admissions Committee, who will then reach a decision about your acceptance to the school.
Although a demonstrated responsibility for learning is the most important criterion, the committee also looks for qualities of character and maturity, as well as the ability and willingness to contribute to the life of the school community. Differences in background, circumstance and educational opportunity are also valued and weigh in our decisions. Above all, we strive to bring a well-rounded, interesting and diverse group of creative students to BHS. These students should be eager to take advantage of the many opportunities the school has to offer.
Please contact us at any time, and we will do our best to make sure that applying to BHS is a positive experience.
