Martin Luther King Jr. Day inspired an uplifting school assembly during Monday's private school Open House. Along with the assembly, visiting families were able to experience a day in the life of a Besant Hill School student, attending classes, an informative panel discussion, campus tours, and a delicious lunch.
Admissions Open House is almost here! Join us Monday, January 19 (9am to noon), for a day in the life of a Besant Hill student. Meet our faculty, chat with students, visit our classrooms, and experience an all school assembly

Last Saturday was Ojai day, a celebration full of local art community and culture. BHS admission office had a booth to speak with local families while our students played on one of the five music stages. They were a huge hit.
From the new Doornink Grove to Phoenix Dormitory, our commitment to investing in, beautifying, and improving our campus and facilities can be seen all around us. With vision, patient planning, generosity and a lot of hard work by many at our school, it was a transformative summer on our campus.
Welcome all students and families! Student Government helped the admission team greet everyone to our community.
Our commitment to having a diverse, global community means that we travel extensively during the year, personally reaching out to recruiters and colleagues around the globe.
Thanks to our day student parents for joining us on campus this week. School begins on Wednesday!
The BHS Summer Programs are well underway. On campus there are 10 countries represented from USA to Russia and beyond. Students are studying ESL, SAT and Farm, while exploring areas of Southern California on the weekends.
Enjoy articles, pictures, links to videos and more in this latest edition of Aun Aprendo. You will notice a new "magazine-style" format that we know you will love! Enjoy!
Are you interested in applying to BHS? If so, it is probably one of the most important decisions you will make in your life. The application to Besant Hill School contains the general application, parent and student questionnaires, transcript request, student essay and three teacher recommendations. Your application will be read by each member of the Admissions Committee, who will then reach a decision about your acceptance to the school.
Although a demonstrated responsibility for learning is the most important criterion, the committee also looks for qualities of character and maturity, as well as the ability and willingness to contribute to the life of the school community. Differences in background, circumstance and educational opportunity are also valued and weigh in our decisions. Above all, we strive to bring a well-rounded, interesting and diverse group of creative students to BHS. These students should be eager to take advantage of the many opportunities the school has to offer.
Please contact us at any time, and we will do our best to make sure that applying to BHS is a positive experience.
