An on-campus interview is encouraged, but if this is not possible we can arrange a Skype interview. Interview spaces available during office hours by appointment. Please contact our admissions office via phone or email to schedule your interview time.

If English is not your first language, we do require some form of English proficiency testing; TOEFL, TOEFL Jr., IELTS or SSAT are accepted. We will issue an I-20 to students who have been accepted upon receipt of the signed enrollment agreement and deposit. International students should also provide a copy of their passport.

Although a demonstrated responsibility for learning is the most important criterion, the committee also looks for qualities of character and maturity, as well as the ability and willingness to contribute to the life of the school community. Differences in a student background, economic circumstance, and educational opportunity are also valued and thoughtfully weighed in our decisions. Above all, we strive to bring a well-rounded, interesting, and diverse group of creative students to Besant Hill School. Besant Hill School of Happy Valley is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS), and The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS).

Besant Hill School offers open admissions by application and admits students of any color, national or ethnic origin, religion, or creed.
