A Message from the Director of Admissions
and Financial Aid
Are you interested in applying to BHS? If so, it is probably one of the most important decisions you will make in your life. The application to Besant Hill School contains the general application, parent and student questionnaires, transcript request, essay and two teacher recommendations. Your application will be read by each member of the Admissions Committee, who will then reach a decision about your acceptance to the school.
Although a demonstrated responsibility for learning is the most important criterion, the committee also looks for qualities of character and maturity, as well as the ability and willingness to contribute to the life of the school community. Differences in background, circumstance and educational opportunity are also valued and weigh in our decisions. Above all, we strive to bring a well-rounded, interesting and diverse group of creative students to BHS. These students should be eager to take advantage of the many opportunities the school has to offer.
